For merchants
Turn cross-border goodwill into guaranteed, prepaid customers — settled in stablecoin.
List your shop and let people abroad send gifts that can only be spent with you. Demand arrives prepaid and fully backed, and you settle in stablecoin — no chargebacks. Sign up at app.rice.gift/merchant.
Why list
- Guaranteed spend. Every voucher for your shop is backed by USDC locked at issuance.
- No chargebacks. Settlement is one-way and final; you're paid for what was actually spent.
- Placement at the moment of intent. Senders choose where to give — your shop is the destination.
- In-store and online, one core. The same voucher redeems at the counter (QR) or at an online checkout.
How settlement works
Customers spend against their voucher balance via off-chain signed micro-spends; you collect those and settle on-chain to receive USDC. You don't settle per sale — batch it weekly or monthly in a single transaction, from your dashboard.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| In vault | USDC-backed balance customers still hold for your shop. |
| Used | What customers have spent — settled (already pulled on-chain) plus unsettled (signed, pending). |
| Settle | Pull the signed spends and receive USDC. |
Closed-loop by construction
Vouchers for your shop can only be redeemed with you or refunded to the funder — there's no path that pays a customer cash, and you can only ever claim what was actually spent. That's what makes the prepaid demand real.
Yield on idle backing
Backing sits in your shop's vault until customers spend it. That idle USDC can earn DeFi yield — a way to fund loyalty incentives or operating costs while it waits.
Getting set up
- Sign up — pick your country (it sets your local currency and flag), name your shop, and set your USDC payout address.
- You're written to the on-chain registry and get a dashboard + POS QR.
- Share your listing so senders can find you; settle your takings on your own schedule.
Brands too
Selling a brand gift code (streaming, top-ups)? Register as a code fulfiller and release the full USDC backing when a recipient redeems their sealed code.
